The corona entry rules are apparently ignored by many people in Germany or even taken to the point of absurdity. The federal police have been able to uncover around 2021 violations since January 150.000, but it is assumed that the number of unreported cases is significantly higher. The executive authority initially gave the number to the editorial network in Germany.

According to the Federal Police, there are major differences between land and air routes. Obviously, travelers - for example - feel particularly safe in their own car, because with 132.000 violations, this route makes up the lion's share. The number of administrative offenses is considerably lower at the airports.

In the previous year, Mickey Mouse and Angela Merkel came to Germany particularly conspicuously. The "exit cards" at that time were often not filled at all or filled with fake data. The electronic entry registration should provide a remedy, but this too is apparently - especially when traveling overland - often provided with incorrect data or simply not filled out at all.

It should also be noted that Germany does not carry out any systematic controls at the airports. The passports and identity cards of Schengen travelers were only viewed for a short period of time. The Federal Police are currently only making random checks of the Corona documents, so that many people are able to enter the Federal Republic without any control.

Before August 1, 2021, there was only an obligation to have a negative test result with you by air and sea. Excluded from this were and are fully vaccinated and convalescent. On land routes, this obligation has only existed since August 1, 2021 and, according to the federal police, around 2.500 violations were picked up in the first week.
