After many countries reported capacity bottlenecks, the German Minister of Health Jens Spahn is now rowing back: Those who return to travel will probably no longer be able to be tested for the new Covid-19 pathogen free of charge.

In addition, the only recently applicable test requirement for entry from risk areas is to be abolished. The ministers made such proposals during a switching conference. You still do not regret that the tests for travelers were expanded in the summer, said Spahn after the conversation. At the same time, however, there was also a consensus that when the return wave came to an end, capacities should be used more in the care and hospitals sector.

However, this should not change anything about the 14-day quarantine requirement when entering from a risk area, as stated in the "Tagesschau" called. This can only be ended prematurely if you can show a negative Covid-19 test. Only those who were made five days after entering the country at the earliest will be accepted.
