The non-profit association Luftfahrt ohne Grenzen eV is currently organizing emergency aid for the victims of the flood disaster in Germany. As early as Tuesday, around 30.000 liters of mineral water and urgently needed hygiene items were brought to the region around the Ahr by truck.

The damage is enormous and particularly clean drinking water is in short supply due to damaged water pipes. The association organized trucks and vans and set up an “airlift on the street” in order to be able to help the people affected, some of whom have become homeless through no fault of their own. On board the first transports there was food and food packages for the victims and the helpers.

“Our organization has experienced a lot of destruction and endless suffering all over the world and has been involved with missions - but the experiences that we now have to make together here in Germany surpass many painful expectations. We are not only committed internationally, but also to our homeland and will do everything we can to literally contain the emergency caused by the flood with immediate aid, ”said Frank Franke, President of Aviation Without Borders eV

The association asks the aviation community for donations that are earmarked for the emergency care of the people affected by the flood disaster. These can be transferred to the following donation account by SEPA transfer. On the homepage of the non-profit association you can also find information on how to donate via PayPal.
