Once again, Germany classifies the Republic of Austria as a so-called Corona high-risk area. This classification was not lifted until the Christmas holidays. In addition to Austria, another 35 countries have received this negative award.

From January 16, 2022, the German Robert Koch Institute will now consider the states listed below as so-called high-risk areas. This is linked to an automatic travel warning, but more and more German tour operators no longer recognize them for free cancellations. The reclassification has no significant effects on vaccinated and convalescent people, but unvaccinated people have to be in quarantine for ten days, but can test themselves after five days at their own expense.
