In the future, the German federal government wants to do its job and take a close look at all those entering the country. Anyone who is not vaccinated against the coronavirus must show a negative test.

The increasing CoV trend is also forcing the German authorities to debate stricter rules. Some details have already leaked out. So vacationers should be prepared for extended test obligations when returning home. And that should happen very soon. The federal government has assured that it will try everything by August 1 to introduce a uniform test requirement, "not only for air travel but also, for example, for everything that comes on a normal car route or rail route," said Bavaria's Prime Minister Markus Söder (CSU) on Tuesday evening in the ARD “Tagesthemen”.

Söder said: "The rule is relatively simple, everyone needs a test that arrives again, so to speak, whether he comes by car, train or plane." He believes that this is now more understandable, clearer and safer. Currently, the test only applies to people who travel to Germany by plane. The Federal Minister of the Interior, Horst Seehofer, reassured the part of the population who can prove that antibodies against the virus can be made: "Those who have been shown to have been vaccinated or recovered naturally do not need a test."

Those involved have not yet been able to agree on a fixed date, internal coordination would still start. The press reports.
