On Sunday, the first DHL plane landed at Vienna Airport, where from now on it will be transporting express shipments from Leipzig to Austria every early morning every weekday. In the evening the machine takes off again towards Germany.

So far, two aircraft for DHL Express have been used exclusively from Linz-Hörsching. With the further expansion of the logistics network within Austria, the express service provider now wants to set another milestone in terms of service quality.

“For us, the customer always comes first. As the world's leading logistics provider, we have been observing increased demand for cross-border express deliveries for months. In order to react to this international trend and to be able to respond even better to the needs of our customers, we have therefore expanded our logistics network in Austria. With the additional flight to Vienna, we are improving the connection to the global network for our customers,” emphasizes Michael Eckelsberger, Managing Director of DHL Express Austria.
