The holiday airline Discover Airlines is launching a new catering and drinks concept on its short and long-haul flights. According to the company's own information, this should also be part of the brand change from Eurowings Discover to Discover Airlines.

According to company information, classics from German cuisine as well as international specialties will be served on board the Airbus fleet in the future. For example, Discover Airlines wants to serve traditional beef roulades with dumplings and Brussels sprouts in business class. Also on the menu: oryx goulash from Windhoek or poblano chili from Cancún filled with vegetarian mole.

On long-haul flights, passengers can also choose from 20 different cocktails and long drinks. In some cases there should also be alcohol-free alternatives. Meat and vegetarian options are available in all travel classes. Special menu variations such as vegan, kosher and gluten-free can be pre-ordered free of charge through the Discover Airlines Service Center up to 48 hours before departure.

According to the airline's statement, the new concept was designed based on customer surveys that were carried out regularly. “We want to provide not only holiday joy on board our flights, but also culinary delights. “We work closely with our international catering partners so that we can surprise our guests with new creations every four months when the menu changes,” says Patrick Door, responsible for in-flight product at Discover Airlines.

Only at the beginning of the year, Discover Airlines further upgraded its Premium Economy Class on long-haul flights. Food and drinks are now served on china and in glasses, just like in business class.
