For the first time in its history, Dortmund Airport has exceeded the mark of three million passengers in a calendar year.

The 3 millionth traveler, a nurse on her way to her family in Istanbul, was ceremoniously welcomed. Managing Director Ludger van Bebber emphasized the success despite challenges in air traffic and thanked passengers, employees and partners. The airport plans to expand its offering with new connections to Chişinău, Bacău and Craiova as well as additional flights to Mallorca.
