Dortmund expects a record year

Dortmund Airport assumes that a new passenger record will be set this year. In the first half of 2023 there were 1.427.285 passengers.

A total of 834.985 travelers chose Dortmund as their preferred airport between April and June. Compared to the same period last year, this results in an increase of 20,35% (141.187 passengers). With 1.427.285 passengers in the first half of the year, the number of passengers increased by 2019 compared to the same period in the pre-corona year 158.311.

In the summer months, travelers can choose their desired vacation spot from a total of 43 destinations in 21 countries. In addition to the top destinations Katowice and Palma, Gdansk and Skopje are also among the most popular travel destinations in June.
