Three Airbus A330s, which flew for Thomas Cook UK until the bankruptcy of the Thomas Cook Group, will shortly be scrapped. These are the machines with the registrations G-MLJL, G-MDBD and G-OMYT. The aircraft have been parked since the cessation of flight operations on September 23, 2019.

The inner workings of the engines have already been taken from the three Airbus A330s. Now one begins to dismantle the long-haul jets into their individual parts. What is still usable should be used on the spare parts market. Often, machines that are sold in individual parts achieve a higher bottom line than assembled and airworthy. A photo of the three former Thomas Cook UK A330s in full livery, but already with “hollowed out” engines, can be found at this link.
