Easyjet Airbus forced to make emergency landing after smoke in cabin

Advertising

An Airbus A321neo operated by EasyJet, registration OE-ISD, with 203 passengers on board, was forced to make an emergency landing shortly after takeoff from Milan Malpensa Airport, bound for Fuerteventura. The incident was caused by smoke in the cabin. The incident occurred during flight U2 3775.

The emergency landing proceeded without complications, and no injuries were reported. The passengers were able to disembark the aircraft normally. The aircraft was then taken to a hangar for inspection. The cause of the smoke in the cabin is currently unknown and is being investigated by technicians.

Such incidents involving smoke in the aircraft cabin are taken very seriously by airlines and the relevant aviation authorities. The safety of passengers and crew is their top priority. Following an emergency landing, the affected aircraft is thoroughly inspected to determine the exact cause of the problem and ensure it is resolved before returning to service. Typically, affected passengers are rebooked onto alternative flights as quickly as possible to continue their journey.
