The low-cost airline Easyjet obtained around 650 million euros through sale-and-leaseback deals. According to the announcement, the carrier sold a total of 23 commercial aircraft and then leased them back.
By combining all measures, including the SLB deals, Easyjet raised around 2,65 billion euros in additional liquidity. Airbus A321neo, which were only taken over a few months ago, are also among the machines sold. The contracts were signed with a Chinese bank, among others.
