57 percent of Easyjet shareholders rejected the plan of company founder Stelios Haji-Ioannou. He actually wanted to overthrow the board of directors around CEO Johan Lundgren. Nothing came of it.

Easyjet founder Stelios Haji-Ioannou actually wanted to literally saw off the board of the low-cost airline, but the shareholders did not agree to his plans. The businessman holds around 34 percent of Easyjet and causes public fuss at irregular intervals. Most recently he even wrote a kind of “bounty” for inside information in connection with the Airbus order.

Easyjet announced that 57 percent of the voting shareholders voted against Stelios Haji-Ioannou's motion. This means that the company management remains in office. In the meantime, CFO Andrew Findley has also announced that he will no longer extend his current contract and will therefore be leaving in 2021.
