Construction work on a new maintenance hangar for the airline Easyjet has started at the capital city airport BER.
In the coming year, Easyjet's first maintenance hangar outside of Great Britain will be built on the building site in the new maintenance area of BER, south-west of Terminal 1. On an area of 19.600 m², extensive maintenance and repair work will be carried out on the hangar area from the beginning of 2023 as part of the light base maintenance and the approx. 10.000 m² hangar hall should provide space for work on four aircraft at the same time up to the size of the Airbus A321neo . The construction will cost around 20 million euros.
