The holiday airline Edelweiss has christened the Airbus A320 with the registration HB-JLS "Oberalp". To this end, the Swiss sister company organized a small event at which numerous children from the eponymous village were guests.

“We are delighted that the Oberalp cantons of Uri and Graubünden are represented on one of our aircraft. From now on we will be taking this diverse tourism region out into the wide world,” explains Patrick Heymann, Chief Commercial Officer at Edelweiss.

As a sign of the partnership, the region will receive an "Edelweiss wooden bench" in the shape of an airplane seat, on which passers-by can enjoy the most beautiful views and dream of their next vacation. Almost like on an airplane. 24 3rd and 4th graders from the district school in Ursern von Andermatt were welcomed as special guests at Zurich Airport. Not only were they able to attend the christening ceremony as exclusive guests, they were also given the new Edelweiss children's toys as a souvenir of this unique day.

The youngest Edelweiss guests receive different toys tailored to their age. The puzzle book contains games and fun, coloring pages, puzzles and two detachable postcards. The content is adapted to the two age categories 3+ and 7+. With the puzzle book, the children also get colored pencils in a cardboard box. The sports bags are now available in three different designs. The children can choose their favorite motif themselves.
