Edelweiss, the Zurich-based leisure airline, has announced that it will significantly expand its short- and medium-haul network for the 2025 summer season.

From June 2025, numerous new destinations will be served, including Bristol in England, Calvi in Corsica, Tbilisi in Georgia, Terceira in the Azores and Zadar in Croatia. This expansion underlines the airline's commitment to offering its passengers diverse travel destinations and unforgettable holiday experiences.

Bristol: A cultural highlight in the southwest of England

The vibrant city of Bristol, known as the home of famous street artist Banksy, will have flights from Zurich on Mondays and Fridays from June 2025. Bristol is not only famous for its art scene, but also for its maritime heritage. The city is an ideal base for exploring the stunning Cornish countryside or visiting the nearby city of Bath, which received international attention through the Netflix series "Bridgerton". Here, visitors can experience the historic splendour of the Regency style first hand. According to the Bristol Tourist Board, the city is a magnet for art and culture lovers and offers a wide range of events and festivals.

Calvi: A paradise between sea and mountains

Edelweiss will also fly to Calvi, a picturesque port town in Corsica, on Sundays from July 2025. The town combines French savoir-vivre with Corsican authenticity. While exploring the winding streets of the old town, visitors can discover the region's history, while the sophisticated marina exudes a touch of glamour. Outdoor enthusiasts will also get their money's worth in Calvi: the surrounding mountains are ideal for hiking and offer impressive views of the coast. The mix of culture and nature makes Calvi an ideal destination for travelers who want to experience the best of both worlds.

Terceira: Natural Paradise in the Atlantic

With the addition of Terceira in the Azores, Edelweiss will expand the options for nature and outdoor lovers. From June 2025, the island will be served every Wednesday. Terceira, known for its impressive landscape and thriving fauna, offers a perfect setting for hiking and exploring. The mild climate and numerous wine-growing regions in the north of the island make it a special destination. The Azores are generally known for their unspoiled nature and offer numerous opportunities for activities such as whale watching and diving.

Tbilisi: A Cultural Journey to the Caucasus

From April 2025, Edelweiss will fly to the Georgian capital Tbilisi, which is characterized by Soviet, European and Oriental influences, on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Tbilisi is a melting pot of cultures whose sights, such as the impressive Sameba Cathedral and the blue-green Jumah Mosque, captivate visitors. In addition, the surrounding wine regions and the impressive mountain panorama near Stepanzminda offer additional experiences for travelers who want to enjoy Georgian hospitality and cuisine.

Zadar: Relaxation on the Dalmatian Coast

Zadar, located on the northern coast of Dalmatia, will be served by Edelweiss on Tuesdays and Saturdays from June 2025. The city not only enchants with its impressive old town and the famous Sea Organ, but also with numerous opportunities for exploring the surrounding islands. The connection to the islands of the Kvarner Bay, such as Lošinj, Rab and Cres, makes Zadar an ideal starting point for tours and island hopping. The sunset in Zadar is one of the most beautiful in the world, and the waterfront promenade offers the perfect place to experience this magical moment.

Kittilä: A summer dream in Finnish Lapland

In addition, the connection to Kittilä in Finland will also be offered in summer. From June 2025, Edelweiss will fly to the far north every Saturday, where guests can experience the unique Lapland. The region is known for its stunning nature, which is illuminated by the midnight sun in summer. Kittilä is a popular destination for travelers looking for outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing or simply relaxing in nature.
