Edelweiss with an enlarged fleet in summer 2023

The holiday airline Edelweiss Air will operate a fleet of 2023 aircraft in the 18 summer timetable. The machines are mainly used from Zürich-Kloten. Compared to the previous year, two more machines are used.

In April 2023, an additional Airbus A320 will increase capacity. Another Airbus A2023 will follow in July 340, to be used on high-volume North American routes. The fleet will consist of 13 Airbus A320 and five A340 this year.

Another new feature is that business class passengers and status customers of the Miles&More, Aeroplan and MilagePlus frequent flyer programs can use the exclusive waiting areas free of charge at those airports where lounges are operated. In addition, Economy Class passengers at many airports now have the option of buying lounge access via the Partner Lounge Pass.

Business Class passengers are spoiled with new appetizers on long-haul routes. You can choose between roast beef with wasabi potato mousse, parsnip and apple jelly and a vegetarian Emmental cheese cream with dried apple chutney and shallot and chive vinaigrette. The cold dishes on long- and short-haul routes have also been revised. Guests receive either the Bündner barley salad with Bündnerfleisch, vegetable mousse, bread chips and chive-barley vinaigrette or the Ribeli salad with pomegranate, cucumber and mint, along with marinated onions, grilled melon and feta cheese.
