Agreement reached: Mango stays in the air

The South African subsidiary Mango has succeeded in finding a solution with the lessors. The carrier had to - contrary to the original announcement - do not cease flight operations. However, some thinning was made for financial reasons.

The liquidity of the lowcosters is very tight and one is in the chalk with the lessors of the aircraft. They have set an ultimatum that the further use of the machines will be prohibited on May 1, 2021 without significant payments. With help from the state, Mango cannot count on before June 2021. A very tricky situation, which led to the low-cost airline announcing the cessation of flight operations.

At the last minute, it was possible to agree with the lessors to defer payments. These now waive the withdrawal of the right of use, so that mango can stay in the air. Nevertheless, the lowcoster has to temporarily suspend some routes. Due to the South African mutation, some countries are currently not allowed to fly to.
