With effect from July 1, 2022, the government of Cape Verde is changing the entry regulations. In the future, two vaccinations will no longer be sufficient, because people who want to enter the country will then have to be vaccinated at least three times against Covid-19.

According to the authorities, anyone who cannot prove three vaccinations will in future be subject to mandatory testing. The new regulation applies not only to entry by air and sea, but also to domestic travel between the islands that belong to Cape Verde.

People who want to travel to Cape Verde from July 1, 2022 should therefore find out about the obligation to take tests in good time. Only people who have been vaccinated against Covid-19 at least three times are exempt from this. Different regulations apply to children.
