El Al: Children only pay the taxis

El Al: Children only pay the taxis

The airline El Al is currently trying to get more families to travel. In addition, it is offered that children up to and including 12 years can fly with you free of charge. The offer has a catch, however, because the carrier from Israel only waives the so-called net air fare.

Taking children with you is therefore not entirely free of charge. El Al asks you to pay for the airport port fees and other personal taxes, among other things. In Israel it is legal to advertise with the net air fare. In the European Union, this was also permitted until the legal basis was changed, but gross end prices have been required for many years.

Nevertheless, the tickets for families who want to fly to / from Tel Aviv should be cheaper, because the pure air fare (net air fare) has been reduced to zero for children up to and including 12 years of age. This results in a certain saving. The offer is available on selected routes during the promotional period.
