From March 1, 2023, the airline El Al wants to offer non-stop flights between Tel Aviv and Tokyo. Ticket sales have already started, but formal official approvals are still pending.

El Al has chosen to fly to Narita Airport in the Japanese capital. The current plan is to initially commute twice a week between the two cities.

According to the current state of affairs, the outbound flights should be carried out on the traffic days Wednesday and Saturday. It goes back on Thursdays and Sundays. Boeing 787-8 long-haul jets are to be used as aircraft.

The 2023 summer timetable has not yet been fully loaded into El Al's systems. For example, no flights are loaded between July 1, 2023 and September 1, 2023. The carrier did not answer the question of whether the route will be paused during this period or whether the plans are still being finalized.
