The Hungarian low-cost airline Wizzair is currently only serving the Vienna-Tenerife South route and only once a week due to a lack of demand. However, the company emphasizes that they want to expand again as soon as possible. The low-cost airline is now launching special flights to Eindhoven and Bucharest for the 2021 European Football Championship.

Flights to the two venues on match days on which the Austrian national team will compete in the stadiums will be offered twice as long. The first offers have already been sent to Eindhoven and Bucharest. The carrier writes that after the final whistle in Amsterdam or Bucharest, the return journey can take place on the same day. Offers similar to the other venues are to be uploaded shortly. The European Football Championship, which has been postponed to 2021, will not be held in any specific country, but rather distributed throughout Europe.

“Our additional flight offer is aimed at all die-hard fans of the Austrian national soccer team. With the flights from Vienna and our extensive Covid-19 protective measures on board, nothing stands in the way of the red-white-red fans when they want to cheer on their team on site, ”said Wizzair spokesman András Rado.
