The Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer was able to significantly increase the number of aircraft delivered in the first half of 2023. The executive division once again proved to be particularly strong.
In the second quarter of 2023, Embraer was able to hand over 30 business jets to customers. During the same period, the company delivered 17 commercial aircraft (ten Embraer E175 and seven E195-E2). If you compare the performance with the same period last year, you can see that the Brazilians were able to improve significantly. It has handed over 55 percent more e-jets to customers and in the executive segment growth is 43 percent.
Embraer delivered the lion's share of the total delivery performance in the second quarter of 2023, because 24 commercial aircraft and 38 business jets were delivered in the first six months of the current year. The Brazilian group was also able to land more new orders again. The orders from Scoot, Binter Canaris, American Airlines and Royal Jordanian are worth mentioning.
At the end of June 2023, the order backlog for the E-Jet series was 271 machines. These are 82 E175, 16 E190-E2 and 174 E195-E2. In executive aviation, it has open orders worth US$17,3 billion.
A few years ago, Boeing wanted to take over Embraer's civil division and integrate it into the group as Boeing Brasil. Among other things, the debacle surrounding the B737-Max meant that the Americans suddenly had completely different concerns and the deal was not completed. Embraer is therefore still active as an independent aircraft manufacturer and is considered the world market leader in the field of regional jet aircraft.
