Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer has received a firm order for six A-29 Super Tucano light attack and trainer aircraft. Delivery of these versatile aircraft, which can be used for tasks such as close air support, maritime patrol and territorial defense, is scheduled for 2026. Embraer did not disclose the customer's name.
The A-29 Super Tucano is considered the leader in its category, with more than 290 orders and a total of over 570.000 flight hours. Of these, 60.000 hours are combat, underlining the aircraft's reliability and performance in demanding environments. In 2024, the A-29s were sold to Portugal, Uruguay and Paraguay, among others, further increasing international demand and confidence in the model.
