Jet2.com flight LS3269 from Liverpool to Tenerife South was forced to make an emergency landing on the Portuguese island of Porto Santo on Tuesday due to a passenger's medical emergency. The passenger was suffering from an acute cardiac emergency and emergency services were on standby to provide immediate assistance.

The flight, which was originally scheduled to land in Tenerife at 11.20am, was unable to continue its journey until 12.28pm and finally reached its destination at 13.30pm. These circumstances led to a delay of the return flight from Tenerife to Liverpool, which only departed at 14.44pm instead of the scheduled 12.05pm.The emergency landing and subsequent delays raise questions about safety and emergency protocols in air travel.

We were on that return flight. If a delay is caused by such an emergency so be it. The persons welfare is paramount.the cabin crew on the way home were excellent considering what the captain described as a challenging event for them
