Emirates takes stock of its summer business: the airline carried more than ten million passengers on almost 35.000 flights to 130 destinations this summer. The carrier is currently operating 74 percent of its route network and pre-pandemic capacity and plans to increase that to 80 percent by the end of the year.

Emirates had increased its flight offering to meet customer demand in the summer. For example, the airline resumed daily scheduled services to London Stansted and increased frequencies to 33 popular destinations in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and holiday destinations such as Seychelles, Maldives, Mexico and Miami. In June Emirates added Tel Aviv to its global network and in July a third daily London Gatwick service was added for travelers affected by the capacity cuts at Heathrow. The A380 fleet has operated on over 30 routes.

During the summer months, over 3,8 million travelers checked in online and on the Emirates app across the route network. Over 500.000 passengers used the 22 self-service check-in kiosks and 38 bag drop locations in Dubai. More than 11.000 passengers used the Emirates home check-in service, according to the Swiss travel portal About Travel.
