Gulf carrier Emirates Airlines gives in after initial criticism and restricts ticket sales from London Heathrow. A discussion has taken place between the airline bosses and Heathrow Airport, which both sides have described as "constructive".

The UK's largest airport is suffering from acute staff shortages and has moved as a result a daily "cap".. A maximum of 100.000 passengers per day are allowed to use Heathrow. At the same time, management asked the airlines to restrict ticket sales. Emirates reacted indignantly and initially wanted this request not comply.

In the meantime, the golf carrier has restricted the sale of tickets from London Heathrow. Solutions are to be found together with the airport within the next two weeks. According to Emirates, demand from the United Kingdom is very strong. However, many airports, including Heathrow, have acute staff shortages and can hardly cope with the rush of passengers.
