Golf carrier Emirates Airlines again connects Frankfurt and Dubai with aircraft of the type Airbus A380. There is currently a daily rotation with super jumbos. Boeing 777s will continue to be used on the other flights.

How long the comeback with this pattern will last is still unclear. Initially, Airbus A2021 rotations are planned for May 380. Emirates is the first and so far only carrier that has been using superjumbos to Frankfurt am Main again since the beginning of the corona pandemic.

This pattern was more common before the crisis, because in addition to Emirates, Lufthansa, Qatar Airways, Thai Airways, Asiana, Singapore Airlines and Korean Airlines were regular guests at Germany's largest airport. How many operators will use the Airbus A380 from Frankfurt am Main in the future is completely open. Lufthansa boss Carsten Spohr believes the reactivation of the partial fleet is unlikely.
