Emirates orders SAF again from Neste

Gulf carrier Emirates has expanded Neste's existing partnership with a contract to deliver approximately three million gallons of SAF in 2024 and 2025. This is added to conventional kerosene at Amsterdam and Singapore airports.

The delivery of over 3 million gallons makes the expanded partnership between Emirates and Neste the largest volume of SAF ever sourced by an airline in the Middle East and Africa. The blended fuel will consist of more than one million gallons of pure SAF. This corresponds to a mixing ratio of over 30 percent SAF in combination with conventional Jet A-1 fuel.

Emirates will also be launching SAF from its Dubai hub for the first time this year. The sustainable fuel reduces carbon dioxide emissions from aviation by up to 80 percent* over the fuel's entire life cycle compared to conventional kerosene.
