Air Canada and Emirates have launched a codeshare agreement that will allow for numerous connecting flights via Dubai and Toronto.
Emirates and Air Canada passengers will have access to 46 destinations in North America, Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
Emirates customers can book codeshare flights via Toronto to destinations such as Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax, Montreal, Ottawa and Vancouver. Air Canada passengers will benefit from additional destinations via Emirates' Dubai hub, including destinations in the Indian subcontinent, Colombo, Dhaka, Islamabad, Karachi and Lahore.
The two airlines will soon also introduce a mutual frequent flyer offer, as the airline announced in a press release. This allows members of Aeroplan and Skywards to collect and redeem points on flights with both airlines. Eligible passengers will also be able to enjoy reciprocal lounge access and select benefits for Aeroplan Elite and Skywards members when flying on partner airlines.
“The partnership with Air Canada is ideal for expanding our reach to additional destinations in North America. The codesharing allows us to offer our customers a seamless connection to domestic flights within Canada via Toronto. Air Canada passengers will benefit from seamless travel to destinations in Asia, Africa and the Middle East thanks to our extensive network via our Dubai hub,” said Emirates President Tim Clark.
