After a seven-week strike, tens of thousands of Boeing employees accepted the company's latest contract offer with 59 percent of the vote. The industrial action ended on November 4, 2024, and employees are called upon to return to work by November 12, 2024 at the latest.

The offer negotiated by the IAM (International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers) union includes higher wage increases and a ratification bonus of $12.000. The protracted conflict had caused considerable financial strains on both sides. Boeing reported significant losses since September as a result of the work stoppage. Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg expressed relief at the end of the strike and called for cooperation to overcome the challenges together and to stabilize the company economically again.
