Entry regulations: China removes negative PCR test

Since April 29, 2023, the People's Republic of China no longer requires a negative PCR residue upon entry. In the future, it will be sufficient if a rapid antigen test is carried out within 48 hours before arrival and the negative result is presented.

The previous obligation for the airlines to check the test certificates at the latest upon boarding no longer applies. China also hopes that the relief will bring more tourists to the country again. For a long period of time, the country had closed itself off and even airlines that were said to have “imported” too many corona cases were banned.
