Emirates Sky Cargo is also providing humanitarian aid in the wake of the devastating earthquakes that left Syria and Turkey devastated and many dead. The first deliveries were flown in under flight numbers EK121 and EK117.

These are UNHCR thermal blankets and family tents, as well as World Health Organization (WHO) and World Food Program (WFP) supplies in the form of medical kits and emergency shelters coordinated in Dubai. Additional shipments of blankets, tents, temporary shelters, flashlights, water distribution ramps, trauma and emergency medical kits will be transported with Emirates in the coming days.

“We work with experts like the International Humanitarian City to provide emergency relief to those affected and displaced by the earthquake and to support the complex local reconstruction efforts. Emirates has extensive experience in supporting humanitarian relief efforts, offering regular and consistent wide-body relief and medical supplies with three daily flights to Istanbul. Dubai's unique position as the world's largest international logistics center for relief supplies means we can reach the disaster-hit areas and the most vulnerable people as quickly as possible," said Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Emirates Chairman and Chief Executive.
