At the moment, all Malta Air machines are flying in the livery of Ryanair. Only a small sticker indicates the Maltese daughter. That will change, because the Boeing 737-Max-200 will - like its Polish sister Buzz - have their own livery.

The first winglets of the first Boeing 737-Max-200 destined for Malta Air have now been photographed in Renton, USA. These show the lettering "Malta". When the machine will be delivered to the Maltese airline and where it will be stationed is still open. The Ryanair Group hopes to take over around 2021 units in the course of 50. In contrast to previous practice, the aircraft should wear the livery of the respective operator.

How many Boeing 737-Max-200 are destined for Ryanair DAC, Ryanair UK, Buzz and Malta Air, the group has not yet announced. Eddie Wilson, CEO of Ryanair DAC, said only that the first units will start operating from the UK. CEO Michael O'Leary said in the fall that Lauda Europe could also be "switched" to Boeing if Airbus does not respond to its asking price. It is likely that the A320 leasing contracts will not be renewed and that the Boeing 737 Max 200 will be fleeted as the "successor". It is not finally fixed yet, but what is already final and definitely fixed at the Ryanair Group?
