ETF Airways gets two sister airlines in the Caribbean

Croatian airline ETF Airways intends to establish a permanent presence in French overseas territories. Two sister companies were founded, named Fly-Li (La Réunion) and Fly-Wi (Martinique). Both are to start with a Boeing 737-800.

The first flights of the newly founded companies are planned for the fourth quarter of 2022, according to an internal communication from management to the workforce. “ETF Airways is proud to announce its active involvement in two projects aimed at establishing a lasting presence of our brand in the French Overseas Territories and over time creating more jobs for their residents and great value for the local community to create community”, can be read in this e-mail.

Furthermore, one wants to expand the fleets of the two newly founded companies in the coming year. The current aim is to add two more Boeing 2023-737s to the fleet by the end of 800. “Together with the local investors, we have selected Mr Samuel VIVARES, who has over 10 years experience as Regional Director for Corsair in the West Indies, to represent both companies alongside ETF Airways CEO, Mr Stjepan Bedic. ETF Airways intends to operate scheduled flights in the Caribbean but will continue to offer its ACMI and charter expertise worldwide.

ETF seeks charter flights to the US

With the Croatian AOC they also want to offer ACMI and charter services to the United States. Appropriate approval has been requested from the US authorities for this purpose. You want to transport passengers as well as freight and mail. The document states that the aim is to have a two-year term.

Specifically, ETF Airways wants to be able to charter flights between any point in the USA and the European Union. Furthermore, it has been requested that stopovers in the United States of America should be permitted. This is said to be both charter flights and ACMI services for other carriers.

According to CH-Aviation.com, three Boeing 737-800s are currently active for Transavia France, ASL Airlines France and Neos Air. Furthermore, charter flights are carried out for various clients, mainly tour operators.
