Ethiopian Airlines opens second Aviation Academy campus

The Ethiopian Airlines Group opens a new training center for aviation personnel in Hawassa, Ethiopia.

The new aviation training center in Hawassa will serve as the second campus of the Ethiopian Aviation Academy and currently offers pilot training programs. The facility houses various types of classrooms, three training simulators, three aircraft parking lots and workshop halls, dormitories for trainees and instructors, a cafeteria and a sports field for various sports.

“We are very pleased to inaugurate our Aviation Academy's second training center in Hawassa. As Africa's aviation giant, we are committed to reaching more people who dream of becoming aviation professionals and enriching our continent with qualified personnel who will take African aviation to the next level. Since its inception more than six decades ago, our aviation academy has produced the best aviation professionals who are competitive on a global scale. With the opening of our second training center, even more trainees now have the chance to pursue their dreams and this is a great achievement for us,” said Mesfin Tasew, CEO of Ethiopian Airlines Group, of the new campus.
