Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, is expanding its summer 2026 schedule with two new seasonal destinations: Krakow in Poland and Salalah in OmanThis expansion of the route network underscores the airline's growth strategy and offers travelers additional connections via its Abu Dhabi hub. The new routes are intended to promote both tourism and connectivity to key regions.

From June 15, 2026, Etihad Airways will offer flights to Krakow three times a week . The connection to the historic Polish city is planned to run until early September. Krakow, known for its rich culture, Gothic architecture, and proximity to the Tatra Mountains, is the second Polish destination in Etihad's network, following the recent addition of Warsaw. This marks a further strengthening of the airline's presence in Central and Eastern Europe.

Flights to Salalah will begin on May 21, 2026, connecting travelers with the monsoon-cooled landscapes of Oman during the Khareef season . This special time of year, lasting from late June to early September, transforms the normally arid region into a verdant oasis with mist, rain, and cooler temperatures. The route primarily targets families from the Gulf States as well as international visitors seeking a summer escape to a milder climate. Salalah is a popular destination within the Gulf region during this period but is also increasingly attracting international tourists eager to experience this unique natural phenomenon.

Antonoaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways, explained that the new destinations reflect the airline's goal of connecting more places to Abu Dhabi and promoting the UAE as a travel destination. Etihad Airways now serves over 90 destinations worldwide, offering seamless connections via Abu Dhabi's Zayed International Airport. The strategic expansion of its network through seasonal flights allows the airline to respond to specific demand patterns and optimize travel offerings for different customer segments.
