Eurest Austria, a leading provider of company catering, will focus on plant-based nutrition in January 2025. As part of the global "Veganuary" initiative, the company is presenting its vegan line "Powered by Plants" in its company restaurants. The aim is to establish plant-based dishes as a permanent part of the menu and to introduce guests to the diversity of vegan cuisine.
Vincent Krumpel, Head of Culinary at Eurest Austria, sees the initiative as an opportunity to meet the growing demand for purely plant-based dishes. The younger generation in particular is placing increasing value on conscious nutrition. The project is supported by regular training for the team, for example by vegan cookbook author Siegfried Kröpfl, who emphasizes Eurest's pioneering role in plant-based gastronomy.
For Eurest, participation in "Veganuary" is part of its long-term strategy to respond to changing eating habits in the workplace. The company emphasizes that high-quality and healthy food options in the workplace can promote productivity and well-being. Eurest Austria, which serves over 55.000 guests every day, sees the campaign as an important stimulus for the introduction of new eating habits.
