Anyone who has booked a flight at Frankfurt Airport for May 18 must expect delays in operations due to the high number of passengers.

The reason for this is the numerous special flights that bring fans of Eintracht Frankfurt to the final of the Europa League in Seville. For this reason, travelers should plan more time for the journey and at the airport. The Federal Police expects 4.500 to 7.500 additional travelers on May 18, who will be on the airport grounds primarily in the morning and mid-morning.

Frankfurt Airport and the federal police would expect around 30 to 35 special flights for Eintracht supporters, as Check24 reports. For this reason, there may be longer waiting times both on arrival and at check-in as well as at the security checks. Likewise, flight delays are not excluded. "We have a lot of passengers in a very short period of time, that's what makes the challenge," said Michael Moser, spokesman for the federal police.

The airport therefore advises passengers to be at the terminal at least two and a half hours before departure and to use the option of checking in the night before. Anyone flying to Seville should also check in on the evening of May 17 or online and arrive at the airport three to four hours before departure.
