The airline Eurowings has already had to cut costs at its two youngest bases, Prague and Stockholm-Arlanda. Several routes have been withdrawn from sale or will not be included at all.

The Austrian subsidiary Eurowings Europe is used from Prague and Stockholm-Arlanda. This will be closed in the course of the year and Maltese start-up Eurowings Europe Ltd. replaced. The transition is scheduled to begin in fall 2022.

From the Czech capital, Eurowings is giving up the non-stop connection to Milan-Malpensa. This is to be served for the last time on March 25, 2022. The planned Valencia flights are not even included.

The cutbacks are also being made in Stockholm-Arlanda, because the destinations Copenhagen, Gdansk and Pristina, which should have been served for the first time at the end of March and beginning of April 2022, have already been withdrawn from sale. The stated goals should not be included. It is currently still unclear whether Eurowings Europe will take on “alternative destinations”.
