The Lufthansa subsidiary Eurowings Discover carried out the first commercial flight with the aircraft type Airbus A320 on Sunday. This led as 4Y 306 from Frankfurt am Main to Tenerife.

In addition to four weekly flights to Tenerife, there are currently five weekly flights to Gran Canaria as well as two weekly frequencies to Fuerteventura and Lanzarote in the flight plan of the holiday airline. Due to changing regulations in individual countries, there may still be occasional adjustments to the flight plan on short and medium-haul routes during the winter.

In the summer flight schedule of 2022, Eurowings Discover will be flying a total of five Airbus 320s from Frankfurt to over 20 tourist destinations on short and medium-haul routes. From June 2022, the airline will start its flight operations in Munich with its own short-haul base and five Airbus 320s and will also serve numerous tourist destinations.

In Economy Class there is a buy-on-board offer with a wide selection of drinks as well as hot and cold dishes. In Business Class, the middle seat is always free. Travelers can choose between a warm or cold meal including dessert and look forward to an exclusive selection of drinks. There are vegetarian and vegan options to choose from in both classes. In the interests of sustainability, the airline also sells any remaining fresh food to take away at the end of all short and medium-haul return flights for around half the price (“Save a Snack-Bag”).

“100 days of reliable travel to the most beautiful destinations in the world. A big thank you goes to our great crews, who spare no effort to make every flight a special experience for our guests. Today we not only look back proudly on the first 100 days - above all, we are looking ahead. In exceptional times, we will continue to grow, offer secure jobs and, above all, be there for our customers, ”explains Wolfgang Raebiger, CEO of Eurowings Discover.

This year, the holiday airline will fly a maximum of eleven aircraft on short, medium and long-haul flights from Frankfurt and will grow to 2022 aircraft by summer 21. The youngest Lufthansa Group airline currently employs around 800 people.
