On Wednesday, the airline Eurowings Europe delivered an Airbus A319 from its home base in Vienna to Salzburg. The OE-LYZ then carried out a flight to Palma de Mallorca and back. The medium-haul jet is now stationed in Mozart's city.

According to the Salzburg airport, Eurowings was the first airline to return after the Corona break. Three weekly flights to Düsseldorf have been offered since the beginning of May 2020. Lufthansa has now also resumed the Frankfurt route. On August 2, 2020, Eurowings intends to revive the connection to Berlin-Tegel.

In cooperation with the tour operator Tui, Eurowings Europe will now offer some summer destinations. These include Karpathos, Corfu, Kos, Crete, Rhodes, Olbia and Palma de Mallorca. The carrier will fly to Calvi on behalf of Rhomberg Reisen. What is new is that package guests of the two tour operators can park free of charge during their vacation at Salzburg Airport.
