Since summer 2020, Eurowings has been offering the middle seat in the Airbus fleet to remain free for a surcharge. The carrier has now announced that the option has been sold for the 100.000th time this week.

The most popular route for booking a "Free Middle Seat" is the Eurowings flight connection from Düsseldorf to Palma de Mallorca; Eurowings passengers also frequently book the option on the flights from Hamburg and Cologne / Bonn to Palma.

In the media declaration, Eurowings also praised itself for its own hygiene concept. According to its own information, this is said to be leading and there has been no proven virus transmission on board since the beginning of the pandemic.
