No more stress in front of baggage check-in, Eurowings promises its customers at least a more convenient day of departure. Because: From the end of June, passengers can check in their luggage the evening before.

For Eurowings travelers who have booked a flight from Berlin, Hamburg, Düsseldorf, Cologne / Bonn or Stuttgart, luggage worries could vanish into thin air the day before departure. Between 18 p.m. and 20 p.m. there is the possibility to check in the suitcase and thus save time. The offer also helps to reduce physical contact at busy check-in counters, especially at peak times with many departures.

Nice offer. However, it is questionable whether and how many customers will decide to actually use it. Because this comes with a service fee of five euros, fuel, bus and train costs are of course on top. A one-time trip to the airport with luggage seems to be the most cost-effective and time-saving option. Even if the alarm clock has to ring 30 minutes earlier. 

The new offer is valid in Hamburg from June 22nd for flights from June 23rd; in Berlin from June 23 for flights from June 24; as well as in Düsseldorf, Cologne / Bonn and Stuttgart from June 30th for flights from July 1st.
