Oliver Schmitt rose to the management of the low-cost airline. Lufthansa manager Michael Efert is now taking over his previous agendas.

With Michael Efert, Lufthansa subsidiary Eurowings has appointed a new head of sales, who will also act as managing director of Eurowings Digital GmbH. The manager previously worked for Mainline and is currently responsible for the sales processes of Austrian Airlines, Swiss and Lufthansa.

Efert succeeds Oliver Schmitt, who joined the management team at Eurowings in March 2020 as Chief Commercial Officer. Michael Erfert will be responsible for all Eurowings sales activities in the future and will be responsible for the implementation and further development of the Eurowings digital strategy.
