The Lufthansa subsidiary Eurowings is temporarily offering that the middle seat in the Airbus fleet can be kept vacant free of charge. It is very likely that this will also be possible because the demand on the routes on which the offer is available has fallen sharply in recent weeks.

The Christmas promotion is valid on all routes within Germany as well as on all routes to / from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. This is limited for the travel period between December 21, 2021 and January 16, 2022.

Eurowings was the first German airline to introduce this service in summer 2020. Since then, vacant middle seats, which were previously only part of the BIZclass tariff, can also be booked for a surcharge in the rear rows of aircraft in the entire route network.
