From May 1, 2025, Eurowings will be expanding its route offering at Cologne/Bonn Airport with a new direct connection to Porto. The popular port city in the north of Portugal will be served three times a week - every Monday, Thursday and Saturday. The route to Porto is the fifth new connection that the airline will be adding in the coming summer flight schedule. Eurowings had previously announced flights to Bastia (Corsica), Erbil, Funchal (Madeira) and Klagenfurt.
Porto, known for its port wine and picturesque old town, is one of the most popular travel destinations in Portugal. The historic center of the city, which was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1996, attracts visitors with narrow streets, baroque churches and the striking Torre dos Clérigos. The new flights from Eurowings now offer travelers a comfortable way to discover these sights.
"With the addition of the new routes, Eurowings' route offering at our airport will be even more varied next spring and summer," says a delighted Thilo Schmid, CEO of Cologne/Bonn Airport GmbH. "Porto is an attractive addition to our flight offering due to its cultural highlights and unique atmosphere." Flights to Porto depart from Cologne/Bonn at 18:55 p.m. on Mondays, 19:10 p.m. on Thursdays and 18:40 p.m. on Saturdays, with return flights departing at similar times.
