Former AUA general director Peter Malanik acts as a so-called non-executive director at the British start-up Hans Airways. The current president of the Austrian Aviation Association is listed with a photo on the homepage of the newcomer.

The company submitted an application for an AOC and an operating license at the end of March 2020. The UK Civil Aviation Authority has yet to make a decision. Hans Airways CEO Satnam S. Saini told CH-Aviation.com: “We are trying to maintain our commitment to professional communities for the time being and to make public announcements for a time when the market is reopening after COVID-19 and we are ready to start."

The company also explains: “The acquisition of airplanes only takes place after proper control of COVID-19 and opening of the borders of our target countries for normal aviation. This puts Hans Airways in a very favorable position under the current circumstances. ”What exactly Peter Malanik does at Hans Airways was not disclosed.
