Poland's state airline Lot wants to expand significantly in the next few years. The fleet is to be expanded from the current 2028 machines to 75 aircraft by 110. They also want to redesign the cabins of the long-haul fleet, which consists of Boeing 787s.

In the short term, a codeshare cooperation with the US Jetblue Airways, which will come into force in the 2023/24 winter flight schedule, will provide additional offers. Passengers from Europe or India who travel with the Polish airline via Warsaw to the United States have further options for connecting flights, for example to Boston, Orlando, Detroit, Las Vegas or Atlanta.

Lot wants to expand the fleet to 2028 aircraft by 110. At the same time, the number of passengers carried per year is expected to grow from currently around 10,3 million to 16,9 million, which corresponds to an increase of around 70 percent. At the same time, around 20 additional medium- and long-haul destinations are to be added.

Investments are also being made at several airports. It is planned to comprehensively modernize the Polonez Business Lounge at the global hub, Chopin Airport in Warsaw, while a completely new lounge for Lot passengers is scheduled to open at O'Hare Airport in Chicago in 2024.

The Polish carrier uses modern Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft on long-haul flights. This will completely redesign the airline in all service classes. While the colors of the future interior were inspired by Polish landscapes, the new design as a whole is intended to exude modernity while reflecting Polish hospitality and the company's almost 95-year history.

There will be new seats on board the Dreamliner fleet in Lot Business Class, Lot Premium Economy Class and Lot Economy Class, all of which come from the manufacturer Recaro. Once converted, Business Class offers a 1-2-1 configuration so every passenger has aisle access. The many amenities include doors on the seats to ensure more privacy and additional storage space for personal items. In the Premium Economy Class, guests can also look forward to more space and more ergonomic seats, while in the Economy Class they will now travel with more legroom and more comfortable seat upholstery.

The entertainment offering on the Boeing 787 Dreamliner at Lot Polish Airlines is also being upgraded. In the future, wide-body aircraft will have Wi-Fi and 4K screens at every seat. Passengers can use their own headphones via Bluetooth, and there are USB-C ports at every seat that can be used to charge mobile devices. There are sockets in the two premium classes, and there are even wireless charging options in LOT Business Class.
