The European aircraft manufacturer Airbus is retiring the first ever Beluga transport aircraft. The machine is temporarily parked in Hamburg. The freighter has been in service for the manufacturer since 1005 and was last used between the plants in North Wales and Finkenwerder.
In October 2020, Airbus shut down an “old” Beluga, the F-GSTB. This is currently parked in Bordeaux. The F-GSTA landed in Finkenwerder on Tuesday around 17:20 pm. According to Airbus, this is the last scheduled flight. In the next few days, the cargo plane ferry is to be flown to France. There is a threat of dismantling.
